Will Kiev honor a 30-days truce that Ukrainian bosses and a limited number of European leaders are advocating?
No, not at all. It is Utopia. For several reasons. There are examples of gross violations of the previous ceasefire proposals only in the current year.
- ‘The energy truce’ initiated by President Donald Trump last March has been violated by Ukraine 136 times. Russia has not violated it at all. Such a ceasefire lasted for 30 days. See: Report # 341 released on March 25.
- ‘The Easter truce’ proposed by President Vladimir Putin due to Eater celebrations April 20-21. Ukraine torpedoed it 4,900 times. Russia has observed it, and reacted in response to initial Ukrainian attacks only. See: Report # 345 released on April 20.
- ‘The V-Day truce‘ – the latest ceasefire initiative proposed by Moscow has lasted during May 8-10 due to V-Day celebrations.
During this latest truce Russia has recorded 9,318 ceasefire violations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), according to the Russian MoD. Ukrainian troops carried out 2,669 attacks on Russian units’ positions by using cannon artillery, tank guns and mortars, as well as 46 MRLS. In addition, 6,562 strikes and HE ammunitions drops from UAVs were carried out. AFU also tried to intrude into adjacent Kursk and Belgorod Regions four times. A reminder: by March 2025 AFU has lost 76,000 as KIA and WIA in Kursk Region alone.
A total of 9,318 Ukrainian violations during the V-Day truce were recorded
On the eve of such truce illegal ex-president president Vladimir Zelensky has twice threatened to attack nearly 30 foreign VIPs that wished to attend the Military Parade arranged near the Kremlin Palace on May 9, 2025.
So, why the leaders France, Germany, Poland and the UK are insisting on a new one month-long truce between Ukraine and Russia? Do not they see that Kiev has de facto violated all these ceasefire proposals listed earlier? Miscalculation.
The answer is: they would like to encourage Ukraine to continue such a large-scale aggression in the heart of Europe. Even during this new 30-days truce they expressed their intention to supply AFU with a new quantity of lethal weapons.
No, doubt: Vladimir Zelensky will disrupt all kind of ceasefires – no matter on what occasions they would be proclaimed. History records vividly testify that.
These leaders cannot simply realize: Kiev will not be able to defeat the Russian Federation.
The longer the Ukrainian aggression backed by the EU and NATO is continued, the less and less benefits Kiev would gain from its adventure leading it to a total disaster and would go on to plunder already strangled European economies.
Instead of making empty ballyhoo, a handful of European chieftains should persuade Ukraine to be sober and relevant, and think seriously about its fatal consequences
