1. General assessment
The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, on March 29th announced the major results of the military operation in Ukraine.
At the beginning of the meeting, he spoke about the course of a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, in general, the main tasks of the first stage of the operation have been completed. The combat potential of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been significantly reduced, which makes it possible to focus the main attention and main efforts on achieving the main goal - the liberation of Donbass.
"Significant damage has been inflicted on the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Sergei Shoigu said. Air supremacy has been won. The Air Force and the air defence system have been practically destroyed. Of the 152 aircraft that were in the Armed Forces of Ukraine before the start of the operation, 123 were destroyed, 77 out of 149 helicopters, 152 out of 180 long- and medium-range air defence systems. The Naval Forces of the country ceased to exist. All formations of land and airborne assault troops suffered significant losses."
"We are monitoring the statements of the leaders of individual NATO countries about their intention to supply aircraft and air defence systems to Ukraine," the minister said. – If they are implemented, we will respond adequately. We consider the position of the West, which supplies lethal weapons to Ukraine, irresponsible. Its uncontrolled distribution to the population and mercenaries only aggravates the situation and in the future may pose a threat to the Europeans themselves."
Further, Sergei Shoigu spoke about the consequences of the thoughtless use of certain weapons by the Ukrainian army manifested in various regions. Thus, a real threat to civilian shipping lines has been created in the Black Sea. The Turkish military has already neutralized two sea mines off the coast of Romania and the Bosphorus Strait.
Targeted actions to track and destroy foreign mercenaries are continuing. As a result of high-precision weapons strikes on mercenary training centers, as well as combat losses, a decrease in their number on the territory of Ukraine is recorded. Over the past two weeks, more than 500 mercenaries have left the country and about 600 mercenaries have been eliminated.
Humanitarian aid is actively provided to the population of the LPR and DPR, as well as Ukraine. 684 humanitarian actions have already been carried out. 6079 tons of cargo were delivered to 210 settlements.
"The Russian Armed Forces will continue a special military operation until the set goals are achieved," Sergei Shoigu said. - I emphasize that the planned combat training does not stop in the troops. I demand that commanders at all levels ensure strict and accurate implementation of the planned operational and combat training measures."
2. Stage two: major goal is regrouping
On March 30th Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, developing an offensive, have broken through the heavily fortified defences of the enemy, crossed the Shaitanka River and are fighting with units of the 53rd Mechanised Brigade on the approaches to Velikaya Novoselka.
A mop-up of nationalist formations is underway in Zolotaya Niva. The advance was 8 kilometers. Up to 50 personnel, 3 tanks, 5 IFVs and 8 vehicles of various purposes were destroyed in this area.
Units of the Lugansk People's Republic continue their offensive on Severodonetsk. Fighting to mop-up Zhytlovka settlement is underway.
Ukrainian nationalist battalions in Severodonetsk direction suffer serious losses. As a result of the disruption of transport links, possibilities to replenish them are blocked. During the day, over 50 nationalists, 2 tanks, 3 IFVs and 2 missile and artillery depots were destroyed in this area.
Planned regrouping of troops in Kiev and Chernigov directions was underway.
The first stage of the special military operation conducted by the Russian Armed Forces in Donbas and Ukraine was planned to force the enemy to concentrate its forces, means, resources and military equipment to hold on to high populated areas in these directions, including Kiev. To bring them down on the battlefield and, without storming these cities to avoid civilian casualties, inflict such a defeat on the armed formations of the Kiev regime that it would not be able to use these forces in the main direction of our Armed Forces in Donbass.
All these goals have been met.
At the same time, the Russian army also solved another task, namely - in the absence of an inflow of fresh enemy forces from the western and central regions of Ukraine, through professional military action, using the absolute air supremacy it has gained, also using hi-tech high-precision weapons - to create all the necessary conditions for the final stage of the operation to liberate completely the People's Republics of Donbass (so far 60 percent of it has been liberated).
To this end, the long-term defensive fortifications created by the Kiev regime over eight years have been, and continue to be, continuously targeted. All major lines of communication, supply and reserve approach are taken under full control. Ukraine's air defence systems, airfield infrastructure, major military depots, training and mercenary concentration centres have been destroyed.
Thus, all the main tasks of the Russian Armed Forces in Kiev and Chernigov directions have been completed.
Over the past day, air defenсe means of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down 2 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Balakleya and Verkhnetoretskoe.
Operational-tactical and army aviation hit 69 military assets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Among them: 3 command posts, 2 multiple launch rocket system, 8 ammunition and missile-artillery weapons depots and 52 areas of military equipment concentration.
In total, from February 24th, 2022 124 aircraft and 77 helicopters, 323 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,767 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 186 multiple launch rocket systems, 741 field artillery and mortars, as well as 1,657 special military vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were, destroyed during the operation.
3. U.S.-Ukrainian biolabs’ investigation
The Russian Defence Ministry continues to study documents received from employees of Ukrainian laboratories about secret military biological activities of the United States in Ukraine.
A study of the new material by Russian experts of the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops identified specific officials who had been involved in the creation of the biological weapons components.
These are the heads of units and staff of the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as its main contracting companies. As the ongoing journalistic investigations in the Western press show, these campaigns were directly linked to the son of the current U.S. president, Hunter Biden.
As a result of the special military operation, research in a number of Ukrainian bio-laboratories, where work with strains of particularly dangerous pathogens was being carried out on behalf of the Pentagon, has been stopped.
A number of documents obtained from these laboratories, however, reveal the concealment of the test subjects' identities and the serious risk to their lives.
Of particular interest are documents indicating that the Kiev regime's plans to use drones capable of carrying and dispersing lethal substances. The revealed facts prove that the Kiev regime was seriously considering the use of biological weapons against the population of Donbass, and the Russian Federation.
Russian MoD will provide more details on the results of the analysis of the documents received and the facts revealed at a special briefing in the near future.
