The monograph comprehensively examines the processes of the long-term evolution of strategic and tactical nuclear weapons of the United States in the 21st century in close connection with their modern nuclear and other key strategies (national security, national and missile defense) adopted during the period of President Donald Trump.
Considerable emphasis is placed on identifying the features of the modernization of American strategic offensive arms and TNW, including a qualitatively new strategic nuclear triad, which will exist for almost the entire current century. In this regard, the historical outline related to the selected issues is minimal. The problems that future negotiations on reducing strategic offensive arms and TNW may face against the background of strengthening the global missile defense system and general-purpose forces of the United States are being considered. The specifics of the violation by the American side of the START-3 Treaty and the INF Treaty are outlined. Various proposals on limiting START and TNW put forward by foreign experts are analyzed. The article examines Washington's position on the possibility of building a nuclear-free world on a global scale.
The monograph is intended for specialists dealing with the development of the START and TNW of the United States in the context of ensuring global security and strategic stability, as well as studying the issues of arms control and Russian-American relations in general.
